American Sign Language, a language rooted in Deaf Identity, benefits many people of diverse abilities.
Designed for climbers of all levels, these stickers feature commonly used climbing terms in American Sign Language (ASL).
Proceeds from the sale of this sticker will be donated to ASL Snapshots and Canadian Adaptive Climbing.
Christina's Story
Born Deaf, Christina’s personality and self-confidence blossomed after she learned sign language in young adulthood through language immersion in local ASL communities and Gallaudet, a university for the Deaf in Washington, DC.
At Gallaudet, she earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Leisure Studies. She has since worked, lived, and adventured across the US and Canada with communities that foster her Deafhood and embrace challenge with growth.
Experiences include ASL teaching and mentoring with all ages, teaching in an ASL/English bilingual classroom, and multi-disciplinary outdoor adventure guiding with a specialized focus on rock climbing.
